How huge will it be? Tha Carter III just came out Tuesday morning, so it's difficult to tell from less than a day's worth of sales, but an exec at Lil Wayne's label estimates the disc will sell between 850,000 and 950,000 by the end of its first week. If their numbers are correct, that would be about double the opening figure for 2008's current record-holder, Mariah Carey's E=MC2, which opened with 443,000 copies.

Britney Spears is making a cameo in a new video by the Pussycat Dolls, Access Hollywood has learned.

A source close to the five piece girl group confirmed the news exclusively to Access.

“She is doing a cameo in their new video shoot today,” the source said.

Spears was spotted in Burbank earlier today, where the Pussycat Dolls are shooting a music video for “When I Grow Up,” the first single from their second, as yet untitled album.

Spears once joined the Pussycat Dolls on stage at a performance for her older brother Bryan’s birthday.

The Pussycat Dolls’ new record was executive produced by Timbaland and features appearances from Gnarls Barkley singer Cee-Lo Green and Sean Garrity.

The fire broke out at the six bedroom, five bath house in Dix Hills, NY around 5:00 AM. Six people, including the rapper's ex Shaniqua Tompkins and their 10-year-old son Marquise, were in the house. They all were transported to the hospital and treated for smoke inhalation.

The house has been the subject of a bitter dispute between Fiddy, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, and Tompkins. The rapper reportedly bought the home -- one of the biggest cribs in the area -- for a cool $2.4 mil in January 2007. Last month he tried to evict Tompkins and Marquise from the house, demanding she pay him $4,500 a month in rent.

Reports are circulating that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are married after impulsively tying the knot during a small ceremony on an island, according to Latina magazine.

Only a few close pals, including Da Brat, attended the nuptials, the publication says. The New York Post also reports that the couple got secretly married. However, there has been no official confirmation of the wedding. Reps for both Cannon and Carey were not available for comment.

Another day, another big-name artist gearing up to promote an album re-release with a big, shiny music video. Only this time it’s different: It’s two big-name artists. At the same time.

On Wednesday, Maroon 5 and Rihanna joined forces on a Los Angeles soundstage to film a video for a remake of “If I Never See Your Face Again” — originally the lead track on M5’s 2007 effort, It Won’t Be Soon Before Long — which will appear on reissues of both artists’ albums.

Omarion Dropped From Colombia Records??

Singer Omarion is no longer on Columbia Records. A source at the label confirmed to the BV Buzz that the Sony imprint decided to drop the former B2K lead singer. Omarion (real name: Omari Ishmael Grandberry) signed as a solo artist to Columbia Records after B2K broke up in December 2003. His boy band was actually signed to Sony’s Epic division.

The 23-year-old singer released two solo CDs for the record company, including 2005’s ‘O’ and 2006’s ‘21.’ Both albums were certified gold. In December of 2007, Omarion partnered with rapper Bow Wow on the CD, ‘Face Off.’ To date, the set has sold 341,137 units according to SoundScan. As an actor, Omarion starred in the films ‘You Got Served,’ ‘Fat Albert,’ ‘Feel The Noise’ and the straight-to-DVD release, ‘Somebody Help Me.’

The personable star was also a series regular on Marques Houston’s former UPN sitcom, ‘Cuts.’ No word on what the singer’s plans are for life after Columbia Records.

The singer has ben involved in a long-running dispute with PETA over her love of fur products but the group have now called off their campaign.

PETA called a truce with a letter and a gift of a faux fur rug which were sent to the singer, reports Glamour.

Yesterday, "Beautiful Nightmare", a demo I've been working on for possible inclusion on my next album, leaked on some websites. I want to thank all my fans for the positive response to the song, but I want to tell you that this is just work in progress. It is not my time to put out new music. If you really want to hear some really great music now, you have to support my girls Kelly, Michelle and my sister Solange. Kelly just re-released her album digitally in the US, so check out "Ms. Kelly:Diva Deluxe." Michelle is about to put out the first single, "We Break The Dawn", from her album and Solange's single, "I Decided", is already one of my favorites.

News On Nelly's New Album!

Nelly is putting the finishing touches on his first album in four years, Brass Knuckles, due June 24th via Universal Records. He recently shot a video for the Polow Da Don - produced first single "Party People" with Fergie in Los Angeles. The video was directed by Marc Webb (Fergie, Diddy).

Rap-Up.com can exclusively reveal that the album will also feature collaborations with T.I., LL Cool J, Chuck D, Akon and Ciara, who is featured on the Jermaine Dupri-produced "Stepped On My Js." The track is a tribute to Nike Air Jordans, which Nelly describes as "Grillz' and 'Air Force Ones' on steridos".

"I love Jordans, I've been wearing Jordans since I can remember. Ciara loves Jordans and I thought it was crazy fit. Ciara, JD., and I are all from the Jordan era. The song is bananas! I can't wait for people to hear it 'cause CiCi got busy," Nelly tells Rap-Up.com

Mariah To Replace Janet On SNL

Mariah Carey will step in to replace the ailing Janet Jackson as the musical guest on this week's "Saturday Night Live." Access Hollywood has confirmed.

On Tuesday, Janet canceled her scheduled appearance on the show following a Monday night visit to a Los Angeles hospital.

"[Janet] did go to the hospital because she's been battling this crazy flu like everyone else," the singer's rep told Access. "But, she wasn't admitted and she is home."

For Mariah, it marks her first return to the "SNL" stage in over a decade. Her last appearance came on November 15, 1997.

She will perform songs from her upcoming album, "E=MC2," which hits stores on April 15.
